LinkPension
LinkPension is for customers who want to decide themselves how to combine their investments.
With LinkPension, you can choose our balanced funds which include the same underlying investments as VækstPension. They funds are either actively or index managed. A common feature of the portfolios is that the risk is not gradually reduced as you approach retirement age.
Moreover, we offer a range of externally managed funds in which you can invest and thus create your very own portfolio. You can find information about the fund universe under "Funds in LinkPension".
You will get:
- access to a large range of funds, so you are free to create your own investment portfolio
- the option of choosing between balanced funds, pure share funds or bond funds
- the option of investing in both actively and index-managed funds

Balanced funds
You do not have to select the individual funds yourself. Instead, you can invest in our balanced funds. With our balanced funds, we create the investment portfolio for you. You only need to consider how willing you are to take a risk and whether you want actively or passively managed funds.
You can choose between 8 balanced funds – 4 that are actively managed and 4 that are index managed. Moreover, you have to specify how willing you are to take a risk. There are 4 different risk profiles: low, medium, high risk or a pure share investment fund.
More about aktiv or index
The difference between aktiv and index-based investment is the risk diversification of the investments and the day-to-day attention paid to individual investments.
Actively managed investment
Actively management investment gives you the best risk diversification and good opportunities for a high return. Our investment experts monitor the market, select the individual securities (e.g. shares in specific companies) and regularly evaluate mix of investment types (e.g. shares, bonds, real estate, alternative investments, etc.) In addition, you will get access to attractive investment types in which private individuals may not otherwise invest.
Index-based investments
Index-based investments automatically follow a number of the most widely used indexes in the world (5 for shares and 5 for bonds) and the risk is therefore less diversified. However, you preclude yourself from the extra gain of an actively managed pension scheme. Instead, your investment management costs are lower.
Investment
With LinkPension you can create your own individual portfolio. You create your portfolio on the basis of the best funds in the market – you are responsible for any gains and losses.
- We carefully review the organisation, strategy and investment process of the funds
- We analyse a wide range of measurable indicators, such as historical return, risk and ability to generate competitive returns
- We have regular meetings with the selected funds to assess their ability to deliver satisfactory returns
- We carry out the selection and analysis in cooperation with Nordea's experts in the area, Nordea Fund & Manager Selection
- The proportion of the different assets may vary over time.
Costs
Investment management costs stated in APR (Annual percentage rate) is the price you pay for the management of your pension savings. APR for the individual funds ranged between 0.32 - 2.33 per cent (2023).
In addition to investment management costs, you pay direct costs for the management of your pension scheme. Your total APR depends on your savings and how your company pension scheme is made up and whether you make any private contributions.
As a customer with LinkPension, you pay two types of costs:
- Direct costs deducted as a percentage of the contributions, a fixed annual fee and a small percentage of the value of the savings.
- Indirect costs deducted from the return of the investment funds in which the savings are placed. Generally, the costs in share investment funds are higher than in bond investment funds as it is more expensive to select and manage shares. The indirect costs in LinkPension depend on the funds selected.
You can see your total costs in Netpension

LinkPension gives you maximum flexibility of your investment. With LinkPension, you decide what funds you want to invest in. And you may at any time change the composition of funds already included in your pension scheme and/or change how future contributions to your pension are to be invested.
