Velliv appoints Lea Vaisalo as new Chief Investment Officer (CIO)

Velliv has appointed Lea Vaisalo as new Chief Investment Officer as of 1 May 2025.

Lea brings with her international management experience, a high level of professionalism and in-depth knowledge of the entire investment universe as well as a strong customer focus. We’ve therefore found just the right profile to meet the goals of Velliv's new investment strategy of having a long-term return in the best part of the market," says CEO Kim Kehlet Johansen and continues:

”With a throrough understanding of the development on financial markets combined with an insight into the pension world, Lea will play a pivotal role in fulfilling Velliv’s vision of being the customers’ preferred pension company, giving customers more out of life – from a human and financial point of view.”

Lea Vaisalo comes from a position as Head of Private Markets in Nordea Asset Management, which she has held since 2019. Besides Nordea, Lea has also been employed with Nordea Life & Pension, PKA, Morgan Stanley and J.P. Morgan Chase Bank in London. She holds a Master's degree in Finance, Economics and Econometrics from Cass Business School in London.

Lea Vaisalo is 44 years old and currently lives in Helsinki with her husband and three children. She will be joining Velliv on 1 May 2025.
